If you moved to Bend and somehow ended up not telling anyone about it, NorthWest Crossing would make that impossible. This is the neighborhood I show clients who actually want to know their neighbors, and it works.
Built on new urbanist principles, NWX (as locals call it) has a village center with coffee shops, a wine bar, a yoga studio, and a grocery store all within a short walk of most homes. It’s the kind of neighborhood where kids ride bikes to the park and adults walk to dinner on a Tuesday. Relocating buyers from California tend to fall hard for it.
The architecture is intentionally varied: craftsman, farmhouse, cottage, contemporary, so it feels like a neighborhood that grew organically rather than a subdivision where every house is a slight variation of the same box. Lot sizes are modest by Bend standards, but the trade-off is that everything is close.
